Toshiba laptop wireless validating identity

Rated 4.48/5 based on 926 customer reviews

Thank you so much for taking your time and knowledge to support my concerns.

A friend of mine has an old Toshiba Satellite laptop.

Sometimes you cannot use the Windows functionality.

Windows XP automatically scans for available wireless networks.

I just re-installed XP on it and I am trying to get the computer online via WIFI (WPA-PSK / AES).

Behind one of the little doors you should find a small card with 2 wires coming off of it.

I have called for support from hp and from brother they think it is a issue with the toshiba.

Normally these devices use a card called a minipci nic.

But I still get the “Windows Was Unable To Find A Certificate To Log You On To The Network”.

So I connected to the i-net via an ethernet cable and updated the laptop Atheros AR5004x driver (as another post suggested).
